Credit hours to ECTS calculator (Pakistan)
There is no official fixed factor for Pakistani credit hours. This tool shows the two methods German universities describe (study duration and workload) and gives a range.
TH Lübeck states that Pakistani BE/BTech degrees are not equivalent to 210 ECTS. For 210-ECTS programmes, ask the university before you apply.
How it works
- Duration method: a full-time academic year is 60 ECTS, so 8 semesters gives an estimate of 240 ECTS (a duration-based estimate, not an official conversion). HEC’s usual load is 15 credit hours per semester, which implies about 2 ECTS per credit hour.
- Workload method: 1 ECTS = 30 hours of total work. ECTS = credit hours × hours per credit hour ÷ 30.
- uni-assist or the university makes the real assessment and can give fewer ECTS than either estimate. Universities decide; check the programme’s rule. No official conversion exists, so this tool never says a target is reached.
